EdTech 2 - E-Procurement
A few years ago we talked about a paperless ordering workflow...didn't really get very far because our Rayalco based financial system didn't work well with it. Hopefully Rayalco will offer more web based options to us in the future. It would be nice if we didn't have to print anything off from the building staff member all the way to purchasing downtown to place an order.

EdTech 1
Read about NComputing being used at Pepperdine University in Malibu CA. While I realize this is a magazine put out by CDW to bring interest to products, I'm finding it an interesting read. This NComputing could be a real cost saver for labs or areas that could be considered for Word Processing and Internet only. I think there are places it could be implemented in this school.

Accountability
President Obama and educational technology guru Doug Johnson are hitting on some parallel themes. Obama gave a speech on education talking about bringing merit pay to the forefront and increase accountability in public education. Johnson on his blog quoted a paper that stated "librarians who do not will be reassigned or fired." (Taiga 4 Provactative Statements 2009) If these two are talking about increased accountability in public education, I believe many changes are coming.
